My current interest in Cricket started because a colleague said the company had changed pretty much everything for the better. Better phones, better coverage, and better cost. When I first heard of Cricket, my boss called it a “disruptive carrier,” -industry jargon for a wireless carrier that disregards the industry standard contracts and pricing and makes things hard for everyone else. Not a very useful description, but the pricing alone demanded a look. I selected a phone known for excellent reception, and decided to put it through its paces. More details after I carry the phone on Cricket for a while.
